Splice | Social Media Strategy
Feeding ideas, ideating feeds.
From 2018 to 2020, I developed some neck pains. In other words, I ran Splice’s social media (with my neck hunched over my phone at a 45° angle at all times). When Splice started, the company’s socials sat at about 25K per platform (TikTok hadn’t been invented yet). I believe most of those followers were bots. Through a combination of timely content, consistent posting, strategic partnerships, and careful use of keywords, we were able to grow Splice’s social following over tenfold - with Instagram bowing at 400K followers, YouTube at 330K followers, and Twitter at 40K followers.
Beats Per Minute was a 2020 Webby Award honoree for Social Arts and Entertainment.
I continued to advise on social media strategy and oversaw artist and influencer partnerships across TikTok and Instagram in my capacity as Senior Content Strategist.
